Bluewood Brewing

Dark brown in color with a fingernail of brown on top. I smell plenty of dark bready malt and caramel. I’m tasting a lot of marzipan, nuts, marzipan, and dark bready malt. The mouth is a bit sticky and warm with alcohol.

Had on tap. Murky brown pour, khaki cap, spotted lacing. Smell is laced with dark fruit, earthy caramel malts support. Taste adds a touch of oxidation and toast but make no mistake, dark fruit rules these lands. Feel is malty the whole sip until the last yeasty bit, smooth and warm, classical, nicely done. A beer that certainly fits with the area of town this brewery is in, and early spring when I drank it. The wife liked it
