On draft at Bluewood. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of sweet hazelnut, chocolate, toffee and some coffee. Sweet hazelnut and chocolate with a touch of toffee.

Had on tap. I got sucked in by hazelnut and brown ale, why don't more place do this? The lactose has me nervous though. Murky brown body with a tan head, plenty of lacing. Smell: hazelnut with cocoa, caramel malt, a kiss of earth with significant sugar with a hint of vanilla on the end. But here is the thing, in the taste the lactose is not as noticeable as a standout, rather fades in with the malt, hazelnut clear star in a roasted candied way. Feel is smooth, medium bodied that lightens a bit through the sip, malty but allows for yeast to play. Nicely done, the wife liked it
