Released to commemorate our eight-year anniversary, this imperial stout is a harmonious blend of indulgence and complexity, aged in maple bourbon barrels, it boasts rich layers of dark chocolate roasted malts, and caramel, enhanced by yellow king jambi cofffee. The coffee adds sweet, earthy notes , bittersweet chocolate, and a smoky tobacco finish, creating a perfectly balanced brew thats as bold as it is unfogettable. Cheers to eight incredible years!

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into a stout glass. Figured I would try this glassware to mix up my snifter use. Beer was purchased at the brewery just after their Anniversary event.
The beer pours a deep dark motor oil color with no light passing through the glass. Very minimal tan head is there and gone instantly. No lattice when swirling, but some legs do show sort of like a merlot. Beer definitely looks like a big boozy stout!
Aroma is dark chocolate, fudge brownie, some maple syrup and hints of sweetened coffee. No hops anywhere on the nose. Also not really boozey or fusol, and no black peppery hints from alcohol either.
First sip reveals a medium body with slightly sticky feel and coating on my palate. Very fine and tingly carbonation.
Flavor is fudge and roasted malts with some coffee grounds, no sweetness. I do get a little maple syrup on the background and hints of bourbon, but coffee is dominant by far. No hops anywhere. There is some boozy warmth on the finish but it doesnt linger long.
There is some good complexity in the flavor and Im enjoying sipping this one. These 8th anniversary beers have been a hit with me so far.
