Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Pure Project 3rd anniversary 14-oz. Teku glass
Price: $4.69
From: Windmill Farms in San Diego (Del Cerro), Calif.
Purchased: Jan. 6, 2023
Consumed: Jan. 6, 2023
Misc.: Canned on Dec. 5, 2022
Went to Windmill Farms and came away with nine solo cans, and two 6-packs. Bine & Vine’s website called this “The aroma waves from this one are ALREADY filling the brewery! We crammed ALL THE CITRA we could into this one with Citra Hops, Citra Cryo, AND Citra Incognito!”
Poured a light golden hazy color with two fingers of frothy white head. Could see bubbles creeping up toward the top of the class along the sides. Excellent spotty lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled big Citra, dank pine, resin, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon and grass. Not as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted big Citra, dank pine, resin, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon, citrus pulp, grass and citrus rind. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was outstanding overall at least. (Overall - 4.00)

Cloudy pale yellowish gray with plenty of foam in the big Duvel tulip. Mouthfeel is lush and sudsy, and at first sip seems to have less acidity than the usual hazy stuff. Brewed with Citra, Citra Cryo, and Citra Incognito but somehow isn't too much of an overdose. The tip-off that this is a NEIPA is the orange juice taste that comes to dominate. Otherwise it's quite drinkable with the fruity aromatics but the orange peel aftertaste gets a little old. From the 16 oz can purchased at BottleCraft. Dated 12/05/22.

Drank it from a 16 oz can in a Teku glass, and had a 32oz growler filled as well. No noticeable difference between the two and no metallic characteristics from the can whatsoever; this beer really loves to be in a can. Color wise it a nice orange-yellow, considerable head retention and lacing. The earthy Denali hop is very apparent on the nose, follows through in a subtle manner on the aftertaste. Really great idea to throw some Denali in with the Citra to create this slightly earthy/spicy which was supported by a solid citrus (grapefruit, orange) backbone. A very dynamic but still highly crushable hazy pale ale!

16oz can, served in a snifter glass. Canned 5/10/2017, opened 15 days later. Pours a hazy, straw yellow body with a slightly orange hue, one finger white head, average retention, lots of lacing. Smells a bit green; heavy zest, bits of resin, mild caramel sweetness, a bit of grapefruit. Flavour is better than it smells, though. Nice juicy grapefruit, moderate zesty bitterness, mild caramel sweetness, minimal grain and biscuit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, appropriately carbonated, moderately bitter finish. Very solid hazy pale ale. I wonder if my can was a bit too green and another week or two would have made this even better.
