Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. Teku glass
Price: $5.99
From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: March 26, 2020
Consumed: March 27, 2020
Misc.: Canned on March 19, 2020
Was looking forward to this one, almost pulling the trigger on a 4-pack, but instead going with the solo. Was a Burgeon collab with Horus Aged Ales. Not much can go wrong here. Hops mentioned were Mosaic, Citra and Motueka.
Poured a hazy medium yellow color with four fingers of frothy white head. Could see a few bubble streams coming up the sides of the glass. Almost perfect uneven foamy lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Motueka, melon, caramel, Mosaic, Citra, stone fruit, peach, tangerine and spoiled fruit. Better out of the can with Motueka, candied peach and orange coming in strong. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted a little better than the smell. In order got Motueka, melon, peach, stone fruit, apricot, caramel, Mosaic, Citra, spoiled fruit, tangerine, pine, dank herbal and floral. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 3.75)
Was back and forth on a few of these categories, and I think I overrated it overall. (Overall - 4.00)
