This was one of the reasons I made it over to Hoffer’s Cigar Bar instead of a few other choices for the Super Bowl. Had been specifically wanting to try this beer, which was labeled as, “Northeast Style Double IPA brewed with copious amounts of Nelson and Citra in the whirlpool and dry hop.” Had been secretly stalking this brewery for a while, but this would be my first review from it after trying five others on Untappd.
Poured a golden hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy white head when I got it. Could not see any bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent spiderweb lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled Citra and Nelson up front, really a spectacular mix. Also dank, pine, pineapple, passion fruit, grapefruit, white grape and grass. (Smell - 4.50)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. Just a great mix of Nelson and Citra. Also dank resin, passion fruit, grapefruit, pineapple, white grape, floral, orange juice and guava. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just a fantastic New England Style IPA. Can’t wait to have it again. (Overall - 4.25)

Small pour at Beercraft. Hazy, yup. Big tropical nose, sweet, fruity. Taste too , follows the NEIPA pattern, sweet, sharp bitterness. Nice fell and juicy. Stronger than the norm.
