Had on tap at South Beach Bar and Grille.
Decent if thin Pale Ale. Nice look. Tasty hop bill. A bit light and thin on malt bill.
Worked with nachos and tacos.

A: hazy; medium gold in color; 1 finger white head that receded to a splotchy cap; nice lacing;
S: a grassy sweet orange;
T: floral for a moment; from the middle through the finish, it's balance between orange, grapefruit, and pineapple with mild to moderate grapefruit rind bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: interesting flavor, but not something I would seek out;

Canned 2-15-19
L: Straw colored, light haze. Nice sticking lacing, little head 1 minute post pour.
S: Tropical, with a cantaloupe/melon base.
T: Matches the aroma, adding in heavier tropical flavor. Very balanced.
F: Light to medium. Light bitterness throughout.
O: Nicely done Pale Ale. It's smooth drinking and inviting.

Type: 16-oz. can
Glass: Clear 16.5-oz. Belgian ale tulip
From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $3.59 (because of 10 percent off for a variety 6-pack)
Purchased: July 4, 2018
Consumed: July 4, 2018
Reviewed as: New England Pale Ale
Misc.: Canned on July 3, 2018
Had enjoyed pretty much everything I’d tried from Burgeon, including the three ones I rated on Beer Advocate at 4.30, 4.25 and 4.10. Was psyched to pick this one up on a trip to Bine & Vine, seeing it was canned the day before. The mentioned hops were Simcoe and Citra, so kind of hard to go wrong.
Poured a mostly hazy, bright straw color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at a pretty fast pace. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled big Citra in the nose. Also lime, melon, passion fruit, pine, grapefruit peel, grass and green leaf. Got Simcoe from the can, along with pine, resin, earthy hay, raw barley, peach and more grapefruit. (Smell - 3.75)
Taste was a little better than the nose. Clean and crisp, a bit like a hoppy pilsner. Got Citra, passion fruit, melon, lime, lingering spicy Simcoe, grapefruit peel, pine, grass and pilsner malt. (Taste - 3.75)
Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, clean, crisp finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was a pretty good pale ale, but not anything I would need to chase again down later. (Overall - 3.75)
