Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Clear 16-oz. Bruges beer glass
Price: $4.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 13, 2019
Consumed: Dec. 13, 2019
Misc.: Canned on Nov. 20, 2019
Grabbed this along with a few others ones at Windmill Farms. First time hearing about it. Burgeon pretty much does everything well, so was looking forward to another good one from these guys. Online description read, “Hazy IPA hopped up with Galaxy, Citra & Freestyle Farms hand-selected Nelson.”
Poured a golden murky color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the sides of the glass at different speeds. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled the three hops, the first two easily in dank Galaxy and Nelson, followed by Citra. Also passion fruit, viney berry, melon, white grape and trash. Just as good, maybe even better from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about the same as the smell with a bit more spice. In order got dank Galaxy, pine, black pepper, melon, passion fruit, viney berry, white grape, Nelson, Citra and trash. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Overall an excellent beer. Not really a Galaxy fan, but this is textbook. (Overall - 4.25)

Appearance: Arrives cloudy and honey colored with a two finger head that leaves splashy lacing
Smell: Papaya, melon, berry, passionfruit and white wine grape tones
Taste: Papaya and berry flavors forward, with the melon and white wine grape flavors emerging; passionfruit, through the middle provides a somewhat bitter aspect; the finish is fruity
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: A nice 2nd anniversary NE IPA for this brewery showcasing a range of fruit flavors
