Type: 16-oz. can

Glass: Firestone 16-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
Price: $15.50 for a mixed 4-pack
From: Blind Lady Ale House
Purchased: March 31, 2021
Consumed: April 11, 2021
Misc.: Collab with Moonraker; Canned on March 16, 2021
Grabbed this as part of a Burgeon/Fall collab mixed 4-pack at Blind Lady Ale House. I love that BLAH is doing these lately as I’m on their website every day. Online description I found read “Originally brewed in partnership with the talented brewers at Moonraker for our Third Anniversary, Biolumen is a Hazy IPA hopped with Strata, Citra, Citra Cryo, and Vic Secret.”
Poured a medium yellow hazy color with four fingers of rocky white head. Could see some bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Really liked that initial smell, getting a nice mix of the mentioned Strata, Citra and Vic Secret. Even seemed like a little Mosaic was in there. Specifically mixed berry, red grapefruit, passion fruit, tropical fruit punch, pine, herbal, pear and peach. Almost good out of the can with the addition of earthy malt. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. Definitely got that Burgeon taste, not sure if from the yeast or malts. Not a bad thing, just saying I can pick up Burgeon characteristics. Got Strata, Vic Secret, Citra, red grapefruit, mixed berry, passion fruit, pine, black pepper, herbal, pear, peach skin and some earthy malt. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 3.75)
Outstanding overall but was hoping for more for these two breweries and after the smell was so good. (Overall - 4.00)

Somehow did not have an appealing look. Wan and pasty with no vibrance. Plenty of good hoppiness on the nose with a combo of tropical and citrusy fruits. Good balance of the fruit, the hops and some malt on the palate. Decent outing.

Lemon yellow body and very hazy; opaque. Good head production and decent retention.
Nose is very bright, and it's almost hard to pick up individual notes, although I noticed lemon, tangerine, mango, and melon, along with fresh bright herbs.
Similar on the palate: very hoppy and juicy, on par with an imperial IPA. Mango, pineapple, tangerine, mango, and grapefruit (minus the citric bite). Nice mouthfeel - not quite creamy, but lively, and very drinkable.

Hazy pale amber brrw with plenty of foam in the tulip. Aroma of fermenting pineapple and lime peel with a whiff of avocado. Hops are listed as Citra, Cryo Citra, Strata, and Vic Secret. Intensely fruity flavors with mango, pineapple, and a touch of grapefruit.
Sharp and citrusy but not overly acidic along with the pleasing sudsy mouthfeel. Toasty malt and moderate sweetness. Really a tasty, fruity hoppy brew. A mouthful of flavor. On tap at Tiger Tiger.
