I’m pretty sure if Frosty the Snow Man took a sip of this he would melt. Yeah, if Medusa took a drink, all those snakes would fall off of her face and she might be smashable. Woo doggy! If Beyoncé took a sip... Oh my! We would be ready for that jelly!
Peace!

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American IPA
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. snifter glass
Price: $16.99 for a 4-pack
From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: March 26, 2020
Consumed: March 26, 2020
Misc.: Canned on March 24, 2020
Was excited to see this for the first time and to have it two days after it was canned. Gave Keep it Simcoe a 4.18, Keep it Mosaic a 4.19 and Keep it Nelson a 4.13. Untappd description read, “Single Hopped West Coast IPA w/Citra & Citra Cryo.” Will be interesting where I have this, because going in my favorite hops are probably Mosaic, Simcoe, Sabro, Nelson and then Citra.
Poured a golden clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass and a little slower on the sides. Almost perfect foamy lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Initially smelled a mix of Citra and earthy malts. Also grapefruit, passion fruit, grapefruit peel, lemon, herbal, grass and pine. More Citra and grapefruit from the can, and less earthy malt. (Smell - 4.25)
Initially tasted as good as the nose, but dropped a bit after a few tastes. In order got Citra, grapefruit, passion fruit, lemon, pine, herbal, grass, pine, mango and earthy malt. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, dry finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Was back and forth on a few of these categories, but this was excellent overall. (Overall - 4.25)

Clear yellow with a greenish cast and plenty of foam in the narrow nonic. Pleasingly fragrant with lemon and papaya. Even a bit perfumey. Soft flavors of lime, mango, and orange. Resiny finish with moderate bitterness.
Highly drinkable hoppy brew with sudsy mouthfeel and light body. Tangy but not acidic. Another excellent Burgeon brew. From the 16 oz can shipped from Best Damn in San Diego.
