This insanely smooth West-Coast IPA boasts dank fruit aromas and the slightest hint of spruce. The bitterness is perfectly poised, prominent as you sip but disappears in a super clean finish. Lingering flavors of stone and passion fruit.
Hops: Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe
Malts: 2 Row, Pilsner and Pale Wheat

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American IPA
Glass: North Park 16.5-oz. Munique glass
Price: $4.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Oct. 3, 2020
Consumed: Oct. 3, 2020
Misc.: Canned on Sept. 16, 2020 (I think, tough to read)
Grabbed a single can of this with a bunch of other stuff from Windmill Farms. Figured this one would eventually make it’s way to Windmill Farms. Burgeon’s Facebook description called this, “This insanely smooth west-coast IPA boasts dank fruit aromas and the slightest hint of spruce. The bitterness is perfectly poised, prominent as you sip but disappears in a super clean finish. Lingering flavors of stone and passion fruit.” Mentioned hops were Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe with malts of 2 Row, Pilsner and Pale Wheat.
Poured a pale clear color with three fingers of off-white frothy head. Could see some bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent spotty lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled big Mosaic, followed by Simcoe, floral, mixed berry, bubblegum, mango, tangerine rind, papaya, peach, stone fruit, Citra, grapefruit and onion. Much of the same from the can, mainly Mosaic and Simcoe with the addition of earthy pilsner malts. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got Mosaic, floral, mixed berry, bubblegum, Simcoe, bitter woody pine, onion, tangerine rind, mango, Citra, grapefruit, peach, stone fruit, earthy pilsner malt and lingering peppery spice. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, somewhat smooth finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Just another excellent IPA from Burgeon. (Overall - 4.25)
