Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American IPA
Glass: Firestone 16-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
Price: $4.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 26, 2020
Consumed: Jan. 17, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Dec. 16, 2020
Grabbed this and 10 other singles when I planned to go to Windmill Farms for two other 6-packs (I still got those). Burgeon’s website called this “We brewed something special to celebrate our new location, The Oasis! Burgeon in Escondido IPA will be arriving shortly at the intersection of bright and delicious, delivering you aromatic Citra and New Zealand Cascade hops.”
Poured a pale yellow clear color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Perfect foamy spiderweb lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled more Cascade than Citra but did get both mentioned hops. Also pine, resin, sweat (I know, weird), lemon, grapefruit and lots of earthy malt. About the same from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted a little better than the nose. In order got Cascade, pine, dank resin, sweat (really), onion, black pepper, bitter grapefruit peel, Citra, lemon and earthy malt. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just a really good West Coast IPA. (Overall - 4.00)

Clear golden brew with plenty of white foam in the chalice. Clean and dry with a light but lingering fragrance. Aromas of grapefruit and green tea. Slight bitter edge, whispers of fruit, and a tangy almost sharp finish. Tastes slightly of lime, grapefruit peel, and something piney.
Very light body. Quite elegant, but unmistakeably an IPA. Brewed with Citra and New Zealand Cascade hops. From the 16 oz can purchased from Blind Lady. Dated 12/16/20 on the bottom.
