Got a can of this and a handful of other stuff on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Had been intrigued about this beer, which was voted on by fans. Online description read “Community Collab is our West Coast Pale Ale packed to the brim with hops, voted on by the wonderful people in our community: Nelson, Mosaic, and Galaxy. Tasting notes include Citrus, Passionfruit, Guava & Mixed Berry.”
Poured a light golden clear color with four fingers of rocky white head. Tons of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Perfect layered foamy lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled all three mentioned hips, in order Nelson, Mosaic and Galaxy. Also tangerine rind, mixed berry, passion fruit, mango, guava, orange, peach skin and floral. Got better as it went down. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted better than the nose. In order got Mosaic, Nelson, mixed berry, mango, guava, passion fruit, tangerine rind, Galaxy, peach, orange and floral. Definitely had that Burgeon taste (yeast?). (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Long finish. Really nice mouthfeel. (Feel - 4.50)
Just a really nice pale ale. Outstanding overall. (Overall - 4.00)
