Snuck over to Windmill Farms to pick up some Aurora Hoppyalis and The Lightest One, and a few others single cans. Bine & Vine’s website calls for “Two brewers found themselves lost in the clouds when suddenly, lightning struck. Poured a medium yellow clear color with three fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom and sides of the glass at different speeds. Excellent uneven lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled pretty good from the beginning. In order got dank pine, weed, Mosaic, Riwaka, grapefruit, Juicy Fruit gum, mixed berry, wet grass and floral. Shocked that there is no Strata in this one. Not quite as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted about a good as the nose, maybe a tier down. In order got Mosaic, dank pine, weed, bitter grapefruit peel, Riwaka, Juicy Fruit gum, mixed berry, wet grass, floral and lingering aspirin. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Bitter, dank finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was an outstanding West Coast IPA overall. Glad I picked up a can. (Overall - 4.25)
