Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (fire) glass
Price: $4.29
From: Windmill Farms in San Diego (Del Cerro), Calif.
Purchased: Nov. 2, 2022
Consumed: Nov. 12, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with North Park and Pure Project; Canned on Oct. 25, 2022; Split (2/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (1/4)
Went to Windmill Farms for this Burgeon/North Park/Pure Project collab and came away with a handful of other beers and a 6-pack of Enegren. Bine & Vine’s description was “Delta Sequence, a progression of celebrated India Pale Ales that, when combined, become a force to behold. Burgeon Beer Company, Pure Project, and North Park Beer Company are pleased to present you with this symphonic collaboration that fuses the recipes of our favorite IPAs, Treevana, Hop Fu, and Pure West!” Hops mentioned on the back of the can were Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Amarillo, Citra, Citra Cryo, Citra Incognito, Chinook, Nelson, Simcoe and Strata.
Poured a medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see a lot of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass at fast speeds, looking a little bit like a snow globe. Almost perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled pine, Simcoe, Strata, garlic, black pepper, Citra, Mosaic, floral, grapefruit peel, Amarillo, orange rind, lemon, lime and spice. Much better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got Simcoe, pine, black pepper, Strata, dank resin, garlic, onion, Citra, Mosaic, floral, grapefruit peel, tangerine, orange rind, Amarillo, lemon-lime zest, aspirin and grass. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Really liked this, but not quite as much as I thought I would with these three breweries involved. I slightly underrated this too. (Overall - 4.25)
