Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Monkish 16-oz. mug
Price: $4.69
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Jan. 8, 2022
Consumed: Jan. 13, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Humble Sea; Canned on Dec. 14, 2021
Went to Windmill Farms for some bread and a 6-pack of Enegren’s The Lightest One, and came back with nine other singles. Untappd called this “DDH Foggy IPA collab w/Humble Sea Brewing hopped with loads of Riwaka, Vic Secret & Mosaic Cryo.”
Poured a light golden hazy color with three fingers of white frothy-to-rocky head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Almost perfect foamy lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled Vic Secret, viney berry, melon, pine, grapefruit rind, pineapple, floral, Mosaic, grass and hints of bubblegum. Grew on me as it went down. About as good from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted about as good as the nose. A little juicier than I thought it would be but dry at the same time. In order got Vic Secret, bitter grapefruit rind, viney berry, pine, melon, pineapple, Riwaka, dry grass, lime, passion fruit, floral, peppery spice and some light Mosaic on the backend. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This one grew on me a little bit and I may have slightly underrated it. Very good overall. (Overall - 3.75)
