14.9 ounce can, no dating I noticed on it. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head that stayed around a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like coffee, oats, burnt/charred malt, dark chocolate and dark berries. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some earthiness, dark bread and a bit of anise flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, definitely worth trying if you get the chance!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This very nice imperial pours a coal black
with a fantastic head of tan foam that settles to a fat ring, thin layer, and
shows off some impressive lacing. Nose of dark chocolate, darker coffee,
cream hints, and dark berry notes. Flavors hit the perfect pitch with dark
cold brewed coffee drenched over dark chocolate that is layered over
dark berry notes of blueberry and raspberry with a touch of raisin. Mouth
feel is full, smooth, low carbonation, lightly warming, well hidden booze, and
a bitter malt finish that is moderately dry.
Overall----more excellence from this fine brewery!
Cheers

16oz can from Half Time. Near black pour, bubbly beige head. Sweet chocolate aroma, light roasty malts, coffee. Taste starts sweet, chocolaty notes, faint coffee bitterness. A bit tangy. Smooth, really nice as it settles.

Black on white 16oz can with an oddly textured wrap label.
It pours a deep, dark and ruby hued with a pale tan head of tight, tiny bubbles, spatters of sticky lace left on the glass.
The aroma as all BIG stout - sweet, dark grains and sugared coffee with notes of candy sugar and alcohol.
A gentle swirl kicks up a head and releases those heady, ultra sweet odors that wash right into the mouth with the first swallow.
Strong flavors of chocolate covered cherries in brandy, more sweetened black coffee and a slightly cloying milk sugar character.
No oats in the listed ingredients as stated in the printed style name ( Imperial oatmeal coffee cream stout) but the creaminess and texture remind of an oat stout though the heavy handed lactose gives it a slick mouth feel.
Mellow, warming aftertaste of scorched barley malt and bitter coffee - hops play a background role in the bittering as the dominant character showcases dark grains, milk sugar and coffee.
A big, chewy stout with bold flavors but a little over sweet for me.

look: three finger white head with excellent retention, beer is jet black in colour, no light bleeding through.
smell: smells good, has a belgian strong ale character to it, big malt flavours, lot of dark fruit flavour but also some banana, vanilla, milk chocolate, cream, hint of espresso, exciting.
taste: this beer is colossal, massive malt flavour on the opening, big roasted smoky malt, marmite, lot of milk chocolate, cream, a hint of that banana flavour, bubblegum, lot of dark fruit, especially fig, a lot of whiskey, cherry, cognac, don’t think i’ve ever had a beer this alcoholic before, the alcohol taste is so dominant, probably too much, but it’s a nice tasting beer.
feel: full bodied, lightly carbonated, motor oil thickness, super creamy, really heavy going, a tonne of alcohol warming of course.
overall: an overwhelming beer, a nice beer for sure, but i don’t need 440ml of this, a glass would suffice, it is nice though.
