This particular batch of this beer I am drinking clocks in at 6% ABV. Having this beer on-tap at the brewery. Served in a tulip style glass, this beer draws a pretty clear light to medium golden color with a few streams of little bubbles rising to the beer’s surface. Has a white head that’s only about 1/4 of an inch thick when first drawn and served. Settles to a thin ring of foam lining the inside of the glass along with some decent lacing. Aromas of some bready malts along with a hint of some spice notes and a bit of musty funk and a bit of floral hops. Has a bready malt flavor followed by some hints of peppery spice and some barnyard like funkiness that’s followed by a bit of floral hop bitterness. A good flavor profile, just a bit too dialed back all around. It needs to be stronger overall I feel. Has a crisp, slightly smooth, frothy medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate to heavy carbonation. Has a clean finish and slightly dry aftertaste. Not bad, but I feel this has room for improvement.
