This is a sour Belgian golden ale with blackberries aged in white wine barrels, released about 18 months ago.
Look: a clear pinkish-orange color with a modest white head that lingered.
Aroma: tart blackberries, wood, white grapes, faint farmhouse funk.
Taste: moderately tart up front, opening the way for blackberries and tart grapes. A hard-to-describe funkiness set in on the finish, with bleu cheese and grassy notes. There was a nice oaky finish. ABV well-hidden.
Feel: medium bodied and dry with bright carbonation.
Overall: very well done and enjoyable. Fruity and funky.
