From the can, it pours a hazy amber with a modest, though long lasting, just off-white head. Pleasant scent of light citrus and malt. Taste is a pleasantly lightly bitter malt.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.

Pours a cloudy deep amber color with 2 solid fingers of soapy off-white head. The head has excellent retention, leaving a few random spots of lace before finally settling into a thick blanket of foam. There's some sediment lingering at the bottom of the glass.

The aroma brings a lot of grapefruit and orange rind, with notes of peach and sweet, doughy malt. The back end is full of earthy pine needles and grass.

The flavor is straight-up old school pale ale. Notes of peach and orange with a hint of grapefruit. Very malty and toasted, with a load of earthy pine on the finish.

The feel is medium-light bodied with good carbonation. Exceptionally crisp and easy to drink. Very dry finish.

Overall, this is a great, more "traditional" pale ale. It's very malty yet nicely balanced and full of fruity hop flavors. I admittedly expected something different and more typical of a New England pale, but was pleasantly surprised to see how different this was. Would definitely quaff this bad boy again.
