draft taster straight from the brewery (#5 of 5 in my flight)
*nitro, summer 2019 edition. enjoyed last of my flight, and had gotten the chance to warm up considerably, just under room temp.
A: it's like a guinness but with a higher retention: dark chocolate brown-near-black body, burnt cream foam head with extremely high retention
S: roasted nut sweet malt with dark chocolate bittersweet
T: chocolate to roasted nut to sweet roasted malt, intertwined with subtle notes of dark fruits that fades to a dry bittersweet finish
F: low carbonation, medium-heavy body. smooth, dry finish
Overall (personal opinion):
amplified Guinness. a serious contender with the absolute masters. i do NOT throw that around carelessly, as an avid guiness nut. the nitro sealed it. bravo, Lazarus, bravo.
