When the Green Drake are hatching, drop everything and run to the river: huge mayflies attract big, hungry trout. You just might hook a lunker. Like the fly, this beer is full of surprises: aromas of Tutti-fruiti, with hints of melon and bubblegum, combined with an intense earthiness. Catty, with a touch of wineyness. Perfect after a long day on the river!

draft taster straight from the brewery (#3 of 5 in my flight)
*rotator draught - summer 2019
A: clear, marigold body and a bubbly off-white head with low retention
S: sweet biscuity malt, lush fruit and melon, starkly earthy green hop bitterness.
T: follows the nose exactly. lightly bready sweet malt, lush tutti-frutti and melon, dashed with a stark contrast of earthy, green hop bitterness to bite into that dry finish.
F: medium carbonation, medium body. lush up front with a bubblegum dry finish that lightly coats
Overall (personal opinion):
solid english ipa that somehow branches out of where their flagship Nottingham lingers. don't miss this one. it's deeply rewarding if you enjoy this style, and possibly even a good entry point into the style, as it followed their 40-40 quite nicely and primed my senses for the Nottingham that followed.
