Pours almost clear, light amber, with a one and one half inch off-white froth. The head falls quickly to one quarter inch, leaving a loose coating of sticky lace on a Strangebird IIPA glass.
Herbal hops dominate, followed by cedar, oregano, basil, and turmeric.
Modest bitterness pairs with mild astringency. There is no sweetness worth mentioning. The herbs are strong, with oregano and turmeric out front. The finish is also strong initially, then becomes modest while it holds for a while.
The body is medium with a scratchy polyester texture. Alcohol is about as expected, while carbonation is light and fizzy. Overall, it is a bit dry.
This is a good drinking IPA. It has an old world base and a combination of East vs West Coast questionability. I found it went well with smoky Iberian salami and Humboldt Fog cheese. Much thanks to Dave.
