X marks the spot on this awesome see of Citra. We took out flagship Citra Solo IPA recipe and hazed it to death. The result was a delectable, smooth bed of pineapple and mango to satisfy all your senses. Enjoy one after another thanks to a moderate ABV.

Thanks, Chad!

Was grateful for pulling in this, along with 16 others, from Chad and Bill on a recent work trip to Reno, Nev. Had a few Lead Dog beers before, giving The Dankster DIPA a 4.15, Redding with Love a 4.06, Intergalactic NE DIPA a 3.81 and Anything Gose a 3.76. Knew nothing about it going in, only that it was hazy. Description read, “X marks the spot on this awesome see of Citra. We took out flagship Citra Solo IPA recipe and hazed it to death. Poured a bright golden hazy color with two fingers of off-white head. Could see lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good spotty lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)

Smelled Citra, tangerine, orange juice, mango, pineapple, guava, pear and tropical juice. From the can was mainly Citra, and tangerine and mango. (Smell - 3.75)

Tasted Citra, mango, tangerine, boozy orange juice, pineapple, pear, guava, spoiled fruit and dish soap. (Taste - 3.50)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 3.75)

Very good overall, although I think I overrated it just a bit. (Overall - 3.75)

Pours a murky hazy yellow gold color with white head leaving moderate lacing. Nose is citrusy, fruity goodness .Taste follows with more mellow hoppiness and a mild bitter bite. Finishes slightly citrusy tart. Very nice.

No canned date, but a recent release

Appearance - Pours hazy and faded orange in color with a white, near two-finger width head. Good retention before peeling back to a thin, consistent layer of suds. Good amount of lacing with broken sheeting, lines and small spotting.

Smell - Juicy orange and some brighter tangerine with lesser tropical notes of mango and/or papaya.

Taste - Follows the nose. Fruity, juicy orange with lesser papaya and mango.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with low, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy and slightly creamy drinker but flat in the finish.

Overall - Really tasty but suffers from some carbonation issues. Get that worked out and you have a killer beer.

Had this for the first time at that NV only beer festival at the park on the Truckee River. Pours a sunflower yellow. Small white head 1/6". The aroma seems to pop nicely, good citra aromatics. Very impressed.

Good citrus taste, relatively low bitterness, in the 50ibu range it seems. Malt bill is flat and stays out of the way. The disappointing aspect of this is its very low carbonation. I dunno, festival, could just be an issue there. I know they can this and I would check it out in that format for sure. Their citra solo in the can had no carbonation issues so I fully expect this mouthfeel (and even taste marginally) score to improve as I update with subsequent pours. Other than that, you get a familiar tangerine, marijuana and papaya kind of blend of fruits and trees tastewise.
