Described on the website as
“‘Hoppy Juice’is our third rendition of a NE style IPA featuring Citra, Galaxy & Simcoe. Weighing in at 2 pounds of hops per barrel with local native honey.”
It certainly has the appearance of a NEIPA, hazy, light gold color, with a finger of head. Head subsides to a persistent ring and curtain of lacing.
Strong citrus aroma on opening. Grapefruit, orange, guava, yeast, pine scents show up.
Taste has tropical hops up front. Mango, grapefruit pith, lemon, light pine.
Soft mouthfeel with a delayed bitter note at the back of the tongue. Very easy drinking. Consistent carbonation. No alcohol burn.
Very enjoyable. Looking forward to further experimentation by Salud in this style.
