Foedre Aged Farmhouse Ale with Pomace (interesting ingredient to use in this style)
A collaboration with Cowtown's own Annex Ale Project.
Appearance - Pours a deep rosé pink with two fingers of bubbly head.
Smell - belgian yeast, spicy earthy and leafy hops, grape musk, vinous aromas, red berry, bready malts, and spicy earthy yeast.
Taste - belgian yeast, spicy earthy and leafy hops then quickly goes into the tart grape musk and vinous characteristics. The red berry, bready malts, and spicy earthy yeast finish the brew off.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Finishes smooth and tart with the grape musk and vinous characteristics lingering.
Overall - A unique take on the saison by adding pomace to it. The pomace and vinous characteristics blend together to create a harmonious and flavourful brew. Glad to see a local brewery collaborating with this creative brewery out east.
