Foedre aged farmhouse ale with rye and hay.
Appearance - Pours a hazy amber with three fingers of bubbly white head.
Smell - vinous aromas, white wine, spicy belgian yeast, clove, coriander, spicy earthy and leafy hops, rye malts, grassy aromas, and spicy earthy yeast.
Taste - vinous aromas, white wine upfront. The spicy belgian yeast, clove, coriander, and spicy earthy and leafy hops come through next. The rye malts, grassy aromas, and spicy earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation. Finishes tart with all elements of the brew lingering.
Overall - Another solid brew from the folks at 2 Crows. I like how they keep experimenting with different ingredients with the vinous characteristics. I am looking forward to the next brews that make their way over to Cowtown!
