8 oz tap pour into a small pilsner glass. 5.4% ABV.
A - The pour had no head on the beer. Just a light amber that was pretty darn clear.
S - The aroma is very faint right off the bat. Hard to smell but I got lightly grassy hops with a very low malty aroma. A bit amber-ish that's crisp too.
T - Dry pale and amber malts with a touch of graininess. The finish dries out with hops which impart an earthy flavor.
M - Light body, crisp and thin but not water. Very dry finish and fully carbonated.
D - Rather plain but easily drinkable for what it is, just...meh.

On tap at the brewpub in Cedarburg. Pours amber with a single finger of loose off white head. Mild retention and no lacings.
Aroma is of light lager yeast with a touch of caramel mixed in with some pale malts. Nicely composed with a pleasantly simple profile.
Taste is more of the same with a very crisp finish and a wonderfully simple profile. Goes down crisp with little residual.
Mouthfeel is light bodied, slick and crisp with little residual.
Drinkability is great. Closer to an amber lager than a pale lager, but still well done. Cheers!

Murrayswine picked up a couple growlers from Silver Creek last night and we're cracking them open.
The Pacific Coast Lager has a little Euro Lager funk in its smell, and a big hit of sour, slightly medicinal yeasty spicedness. Quite an interesting nose for a lager. Taste is rather blah after the smell, very plain with hints of the same yeastiness.
I've gotta say, Silver Creek makes some weird, style-bending beers. A nut-brown chocolate IPA? A lager that's yeasty like a wheat ale? Odd.

Another find from Silver Creek. This Lager pours a nice light amber color, with a good head that has continual lacing. the smell is slow to come, with light sweet malts, molasses, caramel, and a hint of cascade hops. The taste is totally satisfying; a great lager with sugar malts but with a good hop balance. This beer is extremely easy drinking, and is worthy to be Silver Creek's flagship brew.
