8 oz tap pour into an American tumbler. 4.2% ABV.
A - Straight from the tap, it's a hazy amber brown color with a two-finger, off-white head. Poor retention and no lace.
S - The nose opens with a light grassy hop aroma that overpowers the mild malts in the background.
T - The flavor is crisp and grainy with a minerally bit to the finish. Predominantly a malt flavor with a low grassy hop flavor to the finish.
M - The Session Ale is very dry and minerally with a bite at the end. Fully carbonated and light-bodied.
D - I'm glad I started with their poorest beer first. It's rather bland but still drinkable. Nothing besides the mineral thing was off-putting.

On tap at the brewpub in Cedarburg. Pours a rich amber color with two fingers of light tan head that retains well and leaves no lacings.
Aroma is of light caramel malts and a touch of bready yeast that fits right into the house yeast (or infection), which is lightly grainy and a touch fruity.
Taste is more of the same with an underwhelming character that ends up less flavorful than one would hope. Almost a mix of an ESB with an American Amber. Needs more flavor to quell the flabby and watery finish, that is also hurt by a subtle butter/butterscotch character that could be evidence of a dreaded infection.
Mouthfeel is light bodied and watery with a flabby finish of little residual.
Drinkability is decent. In the end, the brew is watered down and less than notable. The house yeast/infection does a bit to add flavor, but for a session ale this still needs some defining notes.
