Canned on 5/2 - consumed on 6/1/2019 - poured from a 12oz can into my Bruery tulip.
Hazy flax body with a low off-white head receding to a fine collar and faint surface slick; delicate legs; below-average retention.
Unctuous, ripe mango aroma - luscious and potent. Orangesicle and a low herbal note emerge shortly thereafter. Rather one-note, but wow, what a note!
Surprisingly dry palate entry with orange pith, light pine, and that same low herbal note leading into a dry somewhat earthy finish. Rather low bitterness throughout. Citra, Columbus, and Centennial hops are in here, but I wouldn't have been able to identify any of them per se. The base malt is a nice work-horse here, providing good balance without demanding too much attention. All in all a little disappointing given the heavenly promise of the nose.
Light bodied, gently warming, and fairly refreshing.
Interesting, somewhat uneven (and therefore difficult to rate) ale - probably wouldn't revisit given the price ($5.99/12oz I think?).
