Blind beer review. Sent by Oconomowocian. Thanks Jay!
Deep garnet body, thick with a solid finger of dense purple/pink head. I held a flashlight up to the glass and it appears heavily fruited.
Aromas of chocolate, graham cracker pie crust, and berry. Deceiving and surprising nose based on the pour. Vanilla maybe? Marshmallow? Crumbles....? After the aroma alone I’m guessing some sort of pastry cobbler beer.
Moving on, upon first sip I get cherry, cinnamon, doughy crust. Reminiscent of cherry pie. I can’t get past this. Im still getting a sort of mild chocolate taste. Black Forest cake? Whatever it is, it’s fun to drink.
Thick mouthfeel, smooth carbonation initially with a bubbly finish, tons of fruity floaties and chunky laces. Hard to say this is even beer.
Overall, I’m pretty confident in saying it’s some sort of pastry and fruit beer. Dead giveaways are the appearance and the fruited/crust taste (duh). It’s easy drinking and very tasty. 4.25
Upon the reveal, the chocolate I was getting was the peanut. It was very mild and wasn’t a big factor in the taste. This was a fun blind beer.

Tasted in a tall tulip from draft at Eagle Park Brewing on April 6, 2019. A peanut butter and jelly inspired cream ale with a subtle bready malt character. Aged on peanut butter and blackberry. Not for me.

Pours a muddy reddish brown. Aroma and flavor are predominantly sweet strawberry with no peanut butter to be found. Too bad, because if they had gotten some peanut butter flavor in there it could have been a pretty fun beer.
