2024 Release 12oz can. Canned on 11/20/2024. 14.67% ABV. Drank on 12/1/2024
Look: Black body no light passes thru. Short head that dissipates completely , no lacing.
Smell: chocolate, roast, bourbon
Taste: Chocolate a little roast, dark cherry and oak/vanilla on the finish. The barrel is mild. The ABV is well buried. Smooth. Slightly sweet overall.
Feel is good. Slightly thick and smooth, easy drinking.
4.39/5 overall
Update:
On 10/25/2025 I revisited this one. My review stands It hasn't changed at all.
As for the dark cherry, you could say it's a dark fruit or a red wine type of flavor, but it comes across as dark cherry.
I do notice some molasses, but I just might have missed it on the first round.

Pours a silky, viscous jet-black body capped with a finger of sudsy, pale mocha foam; modest head retention leaves a near-blank cap, slight, frothy collar, and minimal webs of lacing spread across the walls of the glass.
Aroma brings dark fruit matching subtle caramel and a building bourbon heat, with campfire-toasted marshmallow enveloped in barrel char producing a nutty malt and vanilla lingering softening over time.
Taste opens with dark fruit and a pang of heavy char, with gooey marshmallow residuals lingering over the mid-palate as dark chocolate rounds out the back end; bourbon heat fades to a persistent caramel and nougat exhale.
Mouthfeel brings a thick, full body sporting minimal-no carbonation, with ample char extending across the mid-palate staving off an oncoming stickiness, favoring a burly warmth tingling the back end through the finish.
Bawdy vanilla meets choppy booze as uneven contrasts phase through one another, producing an otherwise engaging profile stifled by a building heat.
