Imperial stout with Weller Bourbon barrel-aged Hacienda La Esmeralda Bosque San Jose Geisha coffee roasted by Mostra Coffee, bourbon Madagascar vanilla beans, and bourbon barrel-aged maple syrup added. This very special collaboration is with the hip hop duo, Run The Jewels, and is named after a song on their debut album RTJ1. El-P is a major coffee aficionado, so he, Killer Mike, and myself picked the craziest beans we could find and dreamt up this lavish breakfast stout.

Slightly oily matte black with a softly fuzzy level tan blanket that slowly dies off to a thin collar.
Acidic espresso cuts an otherwise viscous body to a moderate heft, which is accented by sticky toasted brown sugar that becomes mildly acrid or burnt. This isn't a terrible element--its bitterness helping mitigate any sweetness--while at the same time a mild alcohol burn nips the gullet. A fine yet firm carbonation brings forth a uniquely impressive barrel component from the beans that expresses peppery, syrupy bourbon before coming to a chewy dryness after the swallow.

L: Thin tan head that disappeared leaving a thin ring
S: Maple creeps up as soon as the bottle is opened. Nice blend of the three adjuncts with the maple and coffee being most prominent
T: Bitter coffee right off the bat. Vanilla shows up here with the maple providing background sweetness
F: Medium thickness. Not as thick as some other Horus but still chewy
O: A good coffee forward breakfast stout by any standard
