Bomber at share. Like its mate, Dade Dolphin, its another boozy candy bar, but this time there's some vanilla and marshmallow. Smooth, sweet and warm.

This was my first horus stout bottle and I was not disappointed. The smell right away had me hooked, strong smell of coconut and marshmallow. Once I took a sip I knew I had to search for more of Kyle's stouts, the bottle size was perfect for sharing and it was one of the favorites of the night. Coconut is king in this stout and even as it warms up you can taste the sweetness that entirely hides the ABV%

Dull matte black with a short creamy tan head settling to a moderate collar.

The pretty full, viscous and round body is unfortunately marred--as has been the case with so many other stouts I've had by Horus--by a cloyingly acrid burnt sugar note and that intensely artificial sort of marzipan sweetness I often get out of their stouts. However, at the same time there is a pleasant coconut macaroon note with a hint of amaretto.

It's just far too sweet, yet it also has an oddly bitter note swimming within that is equally as off-putting, finishing sticky dry.

---

Having my second bottle in December of 2021 next to a couple of Quadruple Shot variants, I'm absolutely floored that although it still exhibits an acrid sweetness, it's actually less thick and sickly sweet than Tree House's stouts, while now unsurprisingly milder on the coconut.

While I'm making no change to my score, I just found this to be an astonishingly mind-blowing observation, considering the Quads are supposed to be coffee stouts first and foremost, and coffee is supposed to be a BITTERING agent.
