L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a coal black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Not a whole lot of lacing.
S: An enticing aroma of coffee, nuts, malt, chocolate, char, and vanilla.
T: Tasted of a fair bit of malt (present throughout, though subtle), a good shot of dark chocolate (definitely a welcome ingredient), a ton of coffee (the major ingredient; quite dominant here), a slight bit of char (not too much, though), a hint of vanilla as well. This is a thick, rich, and complex flavor. Incredibly tasty.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Full-bodied.
O: This is an excellent (if a little overpriced) beer. Drinkable.
