Bottle at BW share. Mahogany pour, relatively flat. Aroma is malty, molasses, sweet, dates, boozy. Taste follows with the sweet malts and bourbon, adding notes of tobacco and toffe. Super smooth. yet strong.

Pours brooding brown, very little head; what does surface is quick to disappear.
Predominance of sweet malt and oak on the nose; undertones of gas station coffee, fig jam, and a hint of smoke.
Palate has a nice complexity, with a cleaner profile than what I was getting on the nose; Barleywine-forward in flavor, but stout forward in texture. Notes of fig, burnt caramel, and subtle but noticeable tobacco leaf. Getting twinges of oxidation on the finish.
Mouthfeel is smooth, sticky, and boozy. Very subtle bitterness, but good overall gravity and I like that you can feel every bit of that 16%
