I recently tried Plucking Feathers beer, and I was genuinely impressed. It had the depth and maturity of a well-aged brew, with a beautifully rounded and slightly sweet flavor. Despite its richness, it never felt heavy.
My all-time favorite beer is Westvleteren 12, mainly because of how perfectly it pairs with the food I love. Plucking Feathers belongs in the same league, but it brings its own strengths to the table. It complements spicy dishes incredibly well, especially those with a bit of heat. I had it with a burning love lasagna, and the way the beer melded with the spiciness was remarkable.
What stood out even more was how well it held up as a dessert beer. It truly worked both with food and on its own. I’m hoping to get another bottle soon because this might be one of the best beers I’ve ever tasted in this category.
Look i rate 1 since it's not very delicate looking in the glass. There was oily residue and particles on the surface and chunky bits clunking into my glass from the bottle, but I did not register any of this as negative when I started to enjoy this brew.
