Not sure what happened with the other review on this beer but I thought it was OK albeit I aged it a little too long leaving sediment on the bottom. Nonetheless after it got to warm temperature it was solid although I still am unconvinced on the beauty of amburana barrels.

Nose immediately opens up with some underlying tones of Bleu cheese and roasted malt. This beer released in august so possibly old hops the issue? Can’t imagine oxidation after just a couple months.
With warmth the nose settles, cheesiness fades to the background. Vanilla begins emerging more. Getting notes overall more akin to a Baltic Porter at current temp.
Palate offers more, but still getting off notes. Savory notes of thyme, balanced by slightly sweeter notes of gingerbread. Oak-soaked chips, lightly bitter. Boozy warmth. On the drier side. Cola-like carbonation initially, but fills out a bit more with temp. Unfortunately keep coming back to a more savory, meat & cheese board vibe.
Mouthfeel could’ve been fuller, carbonation dulled. Temp was this beer’s friend but I’m afraid it couldn’t save it.
