Grand Cuvee Del Cerrito is a blend of non-adjuncted Imperial Stouts aged in the barrels that housed my four favorite single barrel picks I did with El Cerrito from the first round of picks a few years back. Each of the Stouts in these barrels was aged for 29 months before they were blended. It consists of the following barrels: Four Roses OBSV Bourbon (Cooper’s Cachet), Old Elk Wheat Whiskey (Cooper’s Conspiracy), Old Forester Barrel Strength Bourbon (Cooper’s Contingency), and Weller Full Proof Bourbon (Cooper’s Creed). This 14.2% ABV blend is full of brown sugar, cream, dark chocolate, dark fruit, dulce de leche, marzipan, molasses, tobacco, and wood flavors.

Baker's chocolate, a hint of sweet milk chocolate, a hint of dark fruits, and a balanced bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with a dark chocolate, dark fruity, and a prominent bourbon boozy barrel finish. As it warms, a little rye spiciness peeks out on the backend. Good!
