Pitch black pour, with zero agitated carbonation as the liquid cascades into the heavy metal pagoda-base Horus glass. The only floaters visible are the occasionally drifting piece of coconut.

The nose is a fantastic balance of barrel depth and pastry bliss. Notes of bourbon-soaked dark chocolate, toasted brown sugar, coconut macaroons, and a hint of luxardo cherries all greet in succession. Time in the glass allows for the underlying vanilla notes to really come to the forefront, lifting up even more barrel character to the forefront.

Nearly forgotten, the palate immediately reminds us of the beautiful Auromar Estates Panama Geisha coffee that was added to this beast of a beer. While initially it's notes of dark chocolate, deep, roasty coffee notes quickly follow. Brown sugar then transitions toward, rich, oily coconut - chocolate - dipped macaroons.

The mouthfeel on this beer is great - silky smooth with an approachable gravity. There is noticeable barrel presence and heat to this one - notably more than its predecessor in this Horus breakdown even with a tick mark lower ABV. On the finish, a soft bitterness from that coffee lingers alongside that ethanol heat, guiding into the inevitable next sip.
