A: The beer is rather hazy yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of banana-like yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has light to moderately strong flavors of banana esters from the yeast.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This hefeweizen is very easy to drink and has a good amount of aromas and flavors of bananas from the yeast.
Serving type: can

Last month I made a trip up to Jack’s Abby and got this as part of a mixed 4 pack from Springdale, their ale-focused offshoot brewery. This is the only one that was already established on here
Pours a cloudy golden orange with a massive 3 finger head that quickly fades to almost nothing and leaves no lacing
For being unspiced, the aroma here is very earthy and raw. The wheat is unrefined and peppery. The yeast lends a classic hefe banana character with milder notes of nuts and cherries
This feels very bright and crisp to begin the sip, mild lemon acidity and citrus hops. On the swallow, this has light white pepper and a long finish of banana bread
A medium body with very mild carbonation, this is super crisp and drinks very easy. Finishes mostly dry with just a hint of sweetness
I need to have more hefes. As far as I’m concerned, they’re pretty much the perfect summer beer. Cheers!

Pours a clouded golden straw capped with a steady two fingers of uniform foamy white head, with solid retention resulting in a slight frothy collar.
Aromas of spicy bread crusts and sweet wheaty custard with a touch of candied banana bread are immediately apparent; clove accentuates an overall sweet tone over time.
Taste shows fruity citrus esters with a presence along with spicy wheat upfront; sticky, earthy banana and clove developing more deeply toward the finish, with a more banana and light citrus influence on the swallow.
Mouthfeel comes light-bodied with a silky grittiness around the mid-palate while being boosted by a quick jolt of fluffy carbonation; lightly crisp, somewhat thinning wheaty finish.
Solid take on a classic German hefe, if not inconsistent at times; where it hits its mark, it does so well enough to leave an easy-drinking, sweeter take on the style overall.

Draft at the brewery
Big pillowy head, nice retention and lacing, fair hazy golden orange wheat color
Nose typical hefe, doughy wheat, little toasted, bread dough, light citrus orange, mild spices like clove and maybe coriander
Taste more creamy wheat, very doughy wheat, gristy like wheat almost American wheat crossed with grisette, fruity cereal, touch of bitterness, soft citrus notes and mild spices again mostly clove, drier but little sticky finish
Mouth is med to lighter bod, little creamy, very high fizzy carb but not tingly
Overall not bad, nice esters/phenols from the yeast, wheat is nice esp the nose but a little too doughy/gristy on the taste
