Bought and enjoyed Rodeo at the bottle shop, Hops Burns & Black, in the market under the Deptford train station. This micro, Villages, is just down the street. Deptford Town is largely immigrant neighborhoods that are gentrifying slowly. The market's ten stores reflect that diversity. So, the market and the beer all has a Village feel to it.

Rodeo is a decent APA. Refreshing. A sweet malt and fruity, citrusy. Balanced by proper hops. I like my APAs on a narrow playing field. And Rodeo does not venture far.

My first from Villages, they are now over seven years old and doing what they must to enjoy and survive. But at 7 years, it probably is time to start devising their next level business strategy.

Keg pint, as Villages Rodeo Pale Ale, at The Dog & Bell, Deptford. Hazy pale yellow colour, white head. Citric and piney aroma and flavour, one-dimensional but okay.
