A: crystal clear; deep gold in color; 1 finger finely pored ivory head that receded to a wispy cap with a moderate tight collar; nice lacing;

S: not especially aromatic; what's there is grapefruit and pine;

T: dank pine with a bit of grapefruit in the background; moderate bitterness at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish;

O: a pleasant surprise - an actual WCIPA;

Billed as a West Coast IPA. Straw yellow colored, slightly opaque with a low, white and tightly bubbled head that settles out quickly. Aroma of citrus and honey, plus a berry note. Flavors of honey malt, grapefruit rind, some tangerine and some lemon zest. A mild bitterness rises up in the finish, suggesting pine. Very flavorful, envelopes the pallet. A bit fruity for a west coaster despite the hoppy flavors, and mouthfeel could be a bit drier for the style. Enjoyable beer, props to CT brewer.
