Let the biscuity grain character and noble hop spice take you back to simpler times. This German style Pilsner was brewed with 100% pilsner malt and dry-hopped with a moderate dose of Hallertau to create a balance of malt sweetness, a floral and resinous hop profile and balanced bitterness. Best enjoyed in the “slow pour” style to enhance the smoothness and to create a billowy white head.

Appearance: Poured with a good thumb's worth of head that produce some minor lace, the body is a fairly bright and pale yellow with ample carbonation in the body. It's not quite transparent, but it's close.
Smell: I'm not the best with hops identification, but I'm pretty sure that's Hallertauer that gives it a nice floral smell with a sweet biscuit malt in the background. It did not need any warming at all to achieve potency. This smells like a pilsner should, light and crisp.
Taste: Biscuit malt to start as a mild woody resin note comes out with it that builds with a floral bloom of mild bitterness and maybe a slight snap of nectar.
Mouthfeel: This is really where the beer is shinning, as the aftertaste is mostly clean with only mild honey, floral biscuit touches that well manage that slight hint of dryness that makes you want to drink more. The transitioning is great as well, although to be fair it's not exactly a long journey here. Carbonation is potent and sudsy as well further contributing to a great experience here.
Drinkability: Between light and medium body, which really is where a 5% pilsner should reside. Exceptionally easy to drink, and really for any time as this comes across and something everyone can enjoy. The high carbonation doesn't lend to any bloat or gas issues, and is eminently refreshing, although perhaps not the most complex offering.
Final Thoughts: Part of me wanted this beer to be the little brother of their exceptional double pilsner. That's very much not the case. This is very much the hard working common Fiat to the Oro version's Ferrari. That said, that Fiat isn't breaking down (contrary to that brand's stereotype) and getting the job done while still being a bit stylish. It's good, it gets the job done right for any occasion, but it doesn't have that extra complexity to be considered truly exceptional...and in this case by design, which is just fine by me.
