The fresh-faced Sbarbatella may not be as mature as his older brother, La Piazza, but this younger, spry Keller Pils has earned its stripes. Brewed exclusively with floor-malted bohemian pilsner malt and hopped with select New World Noble hops. It pours a cloudy straw yellow with a persistent, pillowy white head. Subtle floral aroma with hints of lemon and honey lead to flavours of hay with a cracker like grain character and smooth malt sweetness. It is clean and crisp, yet bold and complex with a medium body and balanced bitterness.

Golden clear body with two fingers of head that produced good lace. Now the can does say it is intended to be clear, but I'm a bit confused why you would brand it as Keller Pilsner then, and when I think Keller, I think Kellerbier using open vats to ferment, and is typically cloudy. Smell is mild lemon and a touch of noble hops, but needs potency. Taste is grainy malt with slight honey touch that turns to lemon and floral hops. It's good, but it tastes like a light beer done perfectly which I'm not sure if that was the intent given the ABV. Mouthfeel is incredibly clean with no aftertaste with good transitioning and decent sudsy carbonation, but more potency is needed as a whole and some pleasant afternotes. Very refreshing, but this drinks like it should be a light beer. If this had a lower ABV it would be exceptional, but as it is...well it's still good it's just too light.
Again, not sure why it was branded as a Keller. It's still good, but not what I was expecting initially.

A nice easy drinking Pilsner, great on a hot day.
