Pours a murky dense golden wheat color wit a 1 finger head.. Smell is fruity dank and topical. Tatse has citrus rind grapefruit,mango,pineapple and papaya ,very fruity. Mouth fel vert dank with tropical hops , soft mouith feel ABV well hidden .

 

 

 

a real juicy double dry hopped ipa, still bitter, but very much in the east coast style. milky pale looking from the tap, quite dense but without visibly chunks of sediment of any kind, and with a full inch of white head on it, lacy and attractive. aroma is strongly juicy, mango and canned pineapple juice, sweet orange, very much a citra and mosaic complexion, but its hard to call it for sure. well dosed though, hops are strong in the flavor, fruity still, but moving into more of a citrus rind bitterness, which is an attractive way to complete this, too many of these hazy dry hopped types never really satisfy that aspect of the style, so nice to close this on a bitter hoppy note after all the juiciness. the malt bill feels a little heavy to me, and this seems a step or two less refined than their best beers in here, but its on trend right now and a look around their taproom shows this one is quite popular with the locals. better than many in its category, and nice and fresh, but its all familiar hop flavors at this point, and this seems more like a copycat than a trend setter, for whatever thats worth. easy enough drinking for its strength though. good to very good on the whole.

 

This pours a very dirty, murky, hazy golden color. The head is quite frothy, thick and 2 finger.
The nose is strong with a grapefruit aroma, very pleasing.
The taste is quite strong with the citrus flavor. Again grapefruit seems to be the flavor of this beer. Slight bitterness on the backside.
The feel of this beer is moderate.
Overall, quite a delicious IPA. Really brings the flavors that make a great IPA together well. Well done Blackstack.
