We brewed this IPA to commemorate the release of one of the greatest albums of all time a quarter century ago. Azacca, Mosaic, Motueka, Citra, Vic Secret, Amarillo, Galaxy, Cashmere and Moutere formed together like Voltron to shadowbox your taste buds. Together they could be dangerous. Straight from the slums of Shaolin to your mouth. Put one in the air to 25 years of 36 chambers. Protect ya neck.

Pours a slightly murky orange with a finger of white foamy head. Final couple ounces pour a very murky brown. Head retention is good. Aroma is tangerine, orange, grapefruit, lemon zest, bitters, and bready, biscuity malts. Smell is fairly complex despite the bright focal point on citrus hops. Flavor profile is tangerine, orange zest, grapefruit hops with bitters and bready, biscuity malts and a light sugar on the end. Blueberry and gooseberry add to the sweet and bitter balance. It comes off a touch sweet, but really drinks well. Mouth feel is nearing on creamy, only broken up by some light chalkiness. It has a medium thickness. Overall, splendid hop notes over basic, but sturdy, malt notes. Grapefruit adds a nice zing that balances out the sugary finish well.

Sixteen ounce can that evidently references something from the wasteland of music that was the 1990s. I spent most of that decade re-listening to Depeche Mode & Laura Branigan (RIP).
The pour is the now-standard Blackstack vibrant yellow NE IPA, this one sticking out due to the mass of floaties inhabiting the body. The nose is melon lightly drizzled with sugar.
Tiger Style is bursting with hops, & subtlety. Given the 369 hops jammed into the boil, or after, or before, I expected something searing, but instead there is enough gentle, giving depth to fill a Hallmark Channel Movie. Cubed melon, peach, debittered grapefruit, papaya, small dose of honey, & a tiny spark of bitterness on the finish to let me know I’m not drinking a fruit beer. Soft breading. Plenty more in there my fourth grade palate can’t tease out. Dry. I’d buy this as a newfangled Brut IPA.
Lovely. A very good beer that borders on excellent.

L-Looks the NE IPA part...maybe a bit lighter shade
S-Oranges, berries....not super fragrant...
T-Very unique flavor....I like it....a bit of angel food cake, coconut, bright citrus, and berries. Just a touch of grunginess to the flavor.
F-Medium, creamy... a very slight dryness...a splash of grain alcohol...
O-Very good beer but not an elite beer.

Got in a trade with MonDak_Joe1953. 16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but was just released. Pours opaquely hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, coconut, blueberry, gooseberry, guava, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, coconut, blueberry, gooseberry, guava, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, red apple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, coconut, blueberry, gooseberry, guava, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, white bread dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/grainy, and lightly sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.3%. Overall this is a fantastic NEIPA. All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Great soft feel, and not aggressive. A barrage of hop varieties, but they are all fairly similar. Extremely juicy, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance; mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Poured from 16oz can into glass. Released around 11/9/2018.
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. Thin, creamy white cap stays around. Each sip leaves behind a sheet of dense lacing.
Aroma is a wide range of hops which express citrus, tropical, and earthy fruits. There is a bit of a hop bite that goes into the nostrils.
Taste also has a wide range of hop expressions: slight citrus pith bitterness, semisweet tropical fruit, earthiness, pear, and bubblegum.
Very soft mouth feel, with medium to heavy body. Adequate carbonation. Some minor hop burn in the throat.
From all the complex flavors that blend together, I think this beer should be drunk fresh. It will be interesting to revisit at one week and at two weeks. More reports to come.

Pours a murky golden straw color with a thin white head, Smell was fruity and citrusy with hops all over the garden Taste had passion, apple pear, with mango, peach, and apple with some white grape. Mouth feel was soft and sweet with medium low carbonation with a slight bitterness. This is a potpourri IPA of hops leaning towards the tropical side with some white wine ,a very sweet finish.
