Thoroughly clouded, dull gold, two inch ivory head, lasting long and leaving lace. They don't bother calling them "hazy IPAs" anymore, they just naturally come that way.
In the nose: fresh and lively. Vibrant hoppy goodness. Pine, citrus and a trickle of the tropical.
In the mouth: Soft and smooth. Creamy, even. Little layer of bitterness starts it off, then subdues and slides back. Sweet malt cuts through the bitter. Tasty stuff. Just enough IPA to hold back the haze, bro. Dance goes on between the hops, malt and yeast. High ABV doesn't encroach entirely, until...yep, here it is.
I'm enjoying it, though it's still far from my favorite interpretation of the double IPA. I want to taste the hops, not the pillow.

From a 16oz can:
Appearance: Cloudy yellow-orange, good head.
Smell: Strong dank aroma.
Taste: Sweet, starts with the usual orange juice of the NEIPA, but gets a little more complex with some additional fruit flavors. Finishes with a little bitterness.
Overall: Blackstack makes some nice NEIPAs, every once in a while I'll pick up a 4 pack for a treat since they seem to have a new one every week. Can't collect them all that way!

16oz can. Poured out a slightly hazy, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of orange, pineapple and toasted caramel. Sweet tropical fruitiness with subtle pine and toasted caramel.

Can. White head. Lace. Hazy yellow golden color.
Earthy, lemon, orange, papaya, and mango. Still pretty green and too fresh. A touch of bitterness. Solid.

Pours a very hazy golden straw color with a white head. Smell is fruity and tropical with notes of stone fruit, spice and pine. Taste very fruity and tropical, nice assortment of hops from apricot, stone, and passion fruit some white wine grape, and a dose of pine resin. Soft mouthfeel with medium carbonation a sweet 2IPA with a touch of pine in finish. Another fine double NE Style from Blackstack.
