Pours a hazy light orange color. Smell is tropical. Tastes of mang, kiwi, citrus and mango very fruity. A sweet mouth feel very hoppy with a dry finish .

Pours an orange/pineapple color with a thick white head that lingers and leaves great lacing. Aroma is a blend of citrus and tropical fruits. Flavor is sweet orange juice, pineapples and mangos with only the slightest amount of a bitter bite in the finish (could use a bit more IMO). Feel is creamy, lightly carbonated. Overall a nice beer when cold, too sweet as it warms. Pour half the can in your glass and refrigerate the other half until you need it.

Far, FAR too sweet. Leave it to Junkyard to ruin a Blackstack IPA by making it taste like fruit juice. Every one of Junkyard's IPA's tastes like there's added sugar, or like some kind of fruit juice has been added to it. Far, FAR too sweet. Hey, if you like IPA's that taste like fruit juice or a sugar-sweetened beverage, then Junkyard is for you! I can't believe I just dropped $18 on a 4-pack of this hard fruit juice. I've been burned by Junkyard for the last time. If you like IPA's with added sugar, then you'll love Junkyard. Now I know why they're called JUNK yard -- their taproom must just be a YARD where all the sugar JUNKies come and think they're having really good beer, when in reality they're just getting a crude fix of sugar. No depth, no complexity in this IPA, just a thick muddy wall of fizz and sugar. Absolutely pathetic. I want my money back. But hey, at least it looks and smells pretty sitting in my glass. Maybe I can pour it on the floor and let the aroma fill the room for a while and get better use out of it that way.

Collab 16 oz. can, ending my brief Blackstack boycott due to poor beer. Let’s hope Junkyard contributes some positive magic.
The pour is a yellow-orange that, naturally, one cannot see through. Lovely aroma, one of the fruitiest IPAs I have dipped the tip of my nose in: swimming in fruit, with kiwi & mango ascendant. Lovely.
Promise Ring pinches the ass of promise of both these erratic but talented breweries. Just like the nose, kiwi & mango penetrate the palate, along with other, less identifiable fruits of the tropic. And like most of the style, there’s a double fistful of raw sugar that makes my gums throb after several ounces. Gentle & loving, a tall can isn’t such a bad thing.
If the taste lived up to the nose, this would stand tall in any company. As is, a very good effort.

Can. White head. Lace.
Juicy and tropical. Strata hops apparent. Pineapple, mango, and papaya. Orange juice in the finish.
Medium bodied. Soft feel. Very nice offering!
