Remember that scene where super-cool, Cali-chill Lindsay Lohan shows up-tight unreasonably-British Lindsay Lohan the magic of dipping chocolate sandwich cookies in peanut butter sauce when they’re in solitary confinement? No? Sorry about your childhood. This blend of fresh & barrel aged imperial stout got sent to the isolation cabin with hilariously large quantities of Oreos and Peanut Butter Cups. Just like in the movie… they all live happily ever after.

Poured from the can it is a pitch black pour. No light shines through when held up to the light. The head is 2 finger and brown. The head is quite frothy looking, with all sizes of bubbles in it. The retention is quite good, and there's some beautiful lacing on the glass.
The aroma has notes of chocolate in it. I do get a decent amount of peanut butter in it. I also get a malty cookie aroma that shines through. I do not get any barrel in the aroma. That is not good since they bill it as partly barrel aged.
The flavor is, I hate to say it, somewhat bland. I do get some cookie up front with a hint of chocolate. I get the peanut butter on the back. Both flavors seem muted. I get no barrel at all in the flavor at all.
Thinner feeling. No alcohol burn at all.
This is a very disappointing beer. If it's billed as barrel aged, at least in part, it should have barrel notes in it. It has none. The flavors are muted, and way less than the aroma suggested. What a shame.

16oz can. No dating information found.
Black colored body, with very thin mahogany brown back lit edge. Tan head settles to an island and ring. Leaves scattered strings of lacing.
Aroma smells sweet with prominent peanut butter and more subtle Oreo cookies, plus barrel.
Taste has a definite barrel aged flavor, but not boozy. Slight char. Authentic peanut butter. The real sweetness comes from the Oreo cookie component, which yields chocolate and vanilla. Has a real cookie flavor plus barrel in the aftertaste.
Thinner mouth feel, but sticky. Finish is a little dry. Minimal carbonation.
I can finish this because the beer is not too cloyingly sweet. Good balance with malts, peanut butter and cookie.

Thick tan head. Black color. Thick.
Pastry like thickness. Very desserty. Lots of peanut butter but not cloying. Sweet, but not overwhelming. A lot of chocolate and cocoa. Crushed cookie crumbs. Creamy. Full bodied. Very enjoyable. 4
Edit: 2023 batch is cloying, chalky, artificial, and too much roasted peanuts. Disgusting. What happened to this. 2.25
